Completed Ph.D. in field of Adhoc Network Routing issues. Primarily focusing Delay Tolerant Network, Routing Issues, Mobility Modelling. Teaching on Theory of Computation, Advance Network Programming, Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Unified Modeling Language, Software Engineering,Software Testing, Linux and Shell Programming, Advanced Operating Systems.

Predominantly my research interest has remained on Ad-hoc Networks, Routing Challenges, Mobility Modeling in Extreme Networks and issues on DTN. Along the above I have focused on Network Mathematics, especially for theories of optimization, graph, probability, markov chains & random process, game theory, statistics and queuing theory.

Completed my Master’s Degree with a Gold Medal in 2007 from Dharmsinh Desai University, Nadiad, Gujarat, one of the premiere institutes of Engineering Universities in India.

For over 22  years I have been teaching in Ganpat University, one of the leading private Universities of Gujarat, and visiting to other Colleges and Universities as a Visiting Faculty.

Joined as a Lecturer on August 1999 to the Dept. of CE & IT, U.V. Patel College of Engineering Ganpat University, promoted to Assistant Professor on 25th July 2007, and Associate Professor 23rd June 2010 , Professor April 2015 ..

Leading a team of IT Operations of Ganpat University which involves work of Infrastructure Planning & Development, Network Design & Management and Server Administration

Worked in ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization), Ahmedabad completed in the field of A TCP Performance Enhancing Proxy [PEP] for satellite link for my Master’s Degree Dissertation under the guidance of Dr. K S Dasgupta, Group Director, ADCTG, ISRO, India (12-05-2006 to 20-4-2007).

Developed Linux Kernel module for PEP agent on kernel-2.6.9

Was responsible for Linux server configuration & administration, network design & implementation, developed Payroll & Personnel System for business application consisting of various modules as team member, tools used were Visual Basic 5.0, SQL server 6.5, Crystal Report 4.5.

Dr. Hemal Shah has worked as Professor and Principal, Institute of Computer Technology, Ganpat University. He holds Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Ganpat University, Completed his masters and bachelors from Dharmsinh Desai University, DDIT, Nadiad India.

He has designed and developed the curriculum on the basis of Data collected by groups of students from external sources by researching the specific needs of futuristic base, which will be parts of the electives/ specializations.

Dr. Hemal Shah has participated in various conferences and seminars of national and international repute. His strength span across in the areas of Teaching – Learning, IT Operations, Research, Team Building, Governance, and Leadership.

His visionary outlook, outstanding leadership and passion for education have resulted in him being part of multiple committee. He has 10 International Papers and 2 National Papers to his credit. Dr.hemal Shah has also been associated with companies like IBM and CISCO. In addition to his academic accomplishments, professionally he had been actively involved with FDPs, Workshops, etc. One of the most notable aspects of Dr. Hemal Shah is, he has always been connected to student community, culture and society by his role and work in Research, Use of Technology, and Innovation in Academics, Team Building and Leadership.

Dr. Hemal Shah has a vision to build a premier educational institution for student’s community of India which is of global standard. He wishes to take research to heights by educating leaders of the future. He has a vision to promote global competitiveness by providing multiple opportunities for excellent education, applied research, academic innovation and service to humanity.

He wishes to synergize activities and institutions through infrastructure sharing, industry interface, faculty and student exchange programs. He aspires to instill the right attitude, values and vision that will prepare the students for lifetime of continuous learning and leadership in their chosen careers.

He believes in student success, lifelong learning, respect, integrity, trust, honesty and ethical behavior. He vouches for continuous quality improvement and overall excellence.

He visualizes standard of education that builds careers. The curriculum ensures sufficient interaction with industry and research hubs to prepare students for successful career in industry, government and academia. The students should not only get to specialize in their core disciplines, but also get a chance to explore variety of subjects and areas of their interest. He wishes to enter into MOU’s with various international schools and universities to provide a richer educational experience to both students and faculty. The students should be uniquely qualified to enter the workforce with skills that are in demand and according to the requirement of corporate and industries.
